Hello there! Thank you for visiting my portfolio. My name is Jasmine Polkowske, and I am a Neuroscience major at the University of Colorado Boulder.
I am a member of the Presidents Leadership Class (PLC), a four year program focused on leadership and skill development for top scholars. Through this program I am pursing a Leadership Studies minor.
Currently, I am utilizing my leadership skills in various positions including Vice President of Volunteers Around the World - CU Chapter, 2nd year sports medicine intern with the CU women's basketball team, and owner of my own wedding photography business (Wild Jasmine Photography). After graduation, I hope to take my leadership to the next level at medical school where I can grow to become the best physician for my future patients.
I am originally from Alamosa, a small town located in the heart of San Luis Valley in southern Colorado. Being isolated from major cities, I have seen the underdevelopment of schools and medicine affect the lives of too many friends and family. One day, I hope to return to Alamosa to redevelop the healthcare system to improve the lives of current and future generations.
